Lola-Magnolia here (the silent one)…I know it’s normally Lili-McVittie (aka Paws out and about) updating you on our monthly adventures but I thought it should be my turn.
I’ve been busy every weekend on beachcleans and litterpicking (whilst on walks, popping down to our favourite dog friendly cafés or with Llanberis Tidy Village litterpicking group on Sunday mornings).
Do you like my yellow coat? Its really handy as it has a little pocket on the back to keep my spare dog poo bags and Pero treats inside. Human is going to get me a handmade dog coat with a fleece inside as I can get cold with such short fur. Must remind her of the pockets!
So last Sunday I joined in with Llanberis Tidy Village, they are a lovely group of humans who all wear a similar yellow coat like me…I get a lot of fuss (and the odd plain biscuit) when they all meet up after litterpicking for a hot drink, biscuits and a discussion on what they found. Some very strange finds and lots of laughter to be had in Llanberis (I’ll leave you guessing but my human has the record of finding men’s underpants on each litterpick). All the coins found are going into a pot and at the end of the year it’s going to a local charity plus good clothes found will be washed and given to a charity shop.
Back at home there are moles in the garden, so we’ve been supervising human putting the soul into the wheelbarrow then making sure the soil is recycled elsewhere around other trees and plants. Human says it’s a pain but at least there is lovely soil available to reuse.
As it’s so cold, myself and the small noisy one with ears has an extra blanket on our bed and we’ve been moved nearer the radiator too.
I’ve made lots of new human friends in the dog friendly cafés and places that we visit, I really love it when they remember my name (even though one human insists on calling me Lorraine?!)
and say how lovely and friendly I am and not what the newspapers portray about Staffs (human offers everyone a Pero dog treat to give me)
If you see me please stop to say hello…
