Woof!
Hope you’re all keeping ok in this strange time. Human is a key worker so is still going into work. Grandad and Grandma Human who also live the other side of the house, look after us along side the miserable teenagers and the small human.
Human has been trying to be incentive with food, with only going on weekly essential shopping. So we had Pero biscuits with pasta (the biscuits where simmered in hot water to create a gravy). We’ve also had the biscuits in ice cubes to keep us occupied.
During the lock down so far…
we’ve been sleeping a lot in the sun listening to Radio 2 or Gardeners Question Time on Radio 4 (some certain radio presenter’s voices stop Lili-Mcvitie from barking).
Been helping the human plant more potatoes in these funny green bag things.
Been on the trampoline with the small human. Lili-Mcvitie loved it, she ran around and around like a dog possessed. I wasn’t too keen to be honest.
Human spoke on the radio about dog walking during this virus and how councils have a annual dog ban on beaches (May to September).
Human says she can’t wait to get her hair cut, last time she cut her hair with the kitchen scissors and got a telling off from Mr G. the dog friendly hairdresser. We get to go in when human goes to make an appointment. He says im lovely but refers to Lili-McVitie as the ‘rat’, after she did a ‘diva growl’ at him once. Taking about hair cuts, Lili-Mcvitie is in desperate need to visit the groomers once it’s safe to do so. Human has been trying to bush her daily but she dive bombs down the garden, roll in chicken poo and wet chip bark, so her belly is very matted. To help her see more, human has put one of the small humans soft hair bands to create a top knot / bun / a canine Gareth Bale.
Did I mention that the pheasant has returned back to our garden, as well as being able to hear the owls passing at night.
This lockdown is very confusing for us dogs too but we’ve notice a slower pace in our family’s daily activities, being more outside in the garden. We can see more humans walking, jogging and on their bikes from our garden. Plus the sky at night is more clear with bright stars and we can hear the waves crashing into the shore as we sniff around the garden before bedtime.
Keep safe everyone
